Louise Lamarre est une cinéaste indépendante et une chercheure en cinéma, Elle a travaillé à titre de scénariste, de réalisatrice et/ou de productrice, sur plus de quarante productions de tous les genres : de la fiction au documentaire, des vidéo-clips à la publicité, du film corporatif à des séries télévisuelles telles que FAIS-MOI PEUR (ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK) ou encore LES NOUVELLES AVENTURES DES INTRÉPIDES. Elle a signé plusieurs études sur la production indépendante pour le gouvernement du Québec dont deux sont publiées : LE PRIX DE LA LIBERTÉ vol. 1 et vol.II. Depuis le début de sa carrière, Louise fait de la recherche dans le champ des effets spéciaux. Elle a découvert un procédé technologique pour lequel un brevet d’invention américain lui a été accordé. Elle a nommé son invention : Holo Editorial Layering Process ( H.E.L.P.) Dans VOIR L’INVISIBLE, elle met ses talents à profits pour appuyer le point de vue des Inuits et promouvoir leur culture dans le contexte des changements climatiques et des enjeux de souveraineté dans le Passage du Nord-Ouest, à l’aube de son ouverture à la navigation maritime commerciale pour de plus longue périodes.

Louise Lamarre is an Independent Filmmaker and Researcher in cinema. She has worked as director, scriptwriter and/or producer on more than 40 productions of all types, from fiction to documentary, music video to advertising, corporate films to television series including ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK? and LES NOUVELLES AVENTURES DES INTRÉPIDES. She authored several important studies for the Government of Quebec on Independent Filmmaking. Since the beginning of her career, Louise has conducted research in the special effects’ field in cinema. Her research led her to discover a new in-camera special effect technology to which an American patent was awarded. She named her invention: Holo Editorial Layering Process (H.E.L.P.) In Beyond Sight, she uses her artistry to promote Inuit culture and support Inuit point of view in the context of climate change, sovereignty issues, and the opening of the North West Passage to commercial navigation.
